International Students

Heritage Christian School welcomes applications from international students, grades 1 through 12, who strive to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ in an academically challenging college preparatory program. 

We are pleased to announce that a new ELL (English Language Learners) program is now available for international students.  Click here to learn more and to meet our ELL teacher, Mrs. Leslie Heath.   

The following requirements must be met before an international student can be fully approved for admission to Heritage Christian School:

1. Academic Requirements Considered for Acceptance:
  • Minimum US equivalent of a 2.3 grade point average (GPA)
2. English Language Proficiency Exam Requirements:
  • SLEP test results
  • Test centers are located worldwide
  • On-line registration information can be found at http://www.ets.org/ 
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to provide a copy to Admissions
  • Applications without testing will not be considered
3. International Student Application for Admission:
  • Download and complete the appropriate grade level application 
  • Submit the completed application and $250 fee to Admissions
  • Be sure all checklist items are included
4. Principal application review and interview:
  • Once a completed application is received and processed in Admissions, the application will be ready for principal review. 
  • Note that a telephone interview may be required for applicants living outside the United States 
  • The interview is the final step before an I-20 can be issued
  IMPORTANT VISA INFORMATION

The Designated School Official (DSO) in the Admissions Department will not issue an I-20 until both of the following requirements have been met:

1.  The principal has approved the application for admission AND 2.  The $1,250 enrollment fee has been received 

Note that Heritage Christian School is required by U.S. Federal law to determine through written application that the student is qualified academically, linguistically and meets all entrance requirements for admission.

Do not schedule your interview appointment with the U.S. Embassy until admission has been approved and an I-20 has been issued.

Once you have completed the Embassy interview, please contact the Admissions Department with the results and to notify us about your plans for arrival.
