GENERAL
The Educational Support Services (ESS) Department consists of a unique group of programs designed to meet the learning
needs of exceptional children. The ESS faculty is committed to providing
these services as a support to the academic program of HCS. According
to Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, support can be defined as: to keep from fainting, yielding, or losing courage; to carry.
It is the desire of the ESS team to be a strong support for
teachers (as their resource), for our parents (as their encouragement),
and for our students (as sharp tools used in changing the way they
learn).
