Educational Support Services (ESS)

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives."
Clay P. Bedfrod

GENERAL

The Educational Support Services (ESS) Department consists of a unique group of programs designed to meet the learning needs of exceptional children. The ESS faculty is committed to providing these services as a support to the academic program of HCS. According to Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary, support can be defined as: to keep from fainting, yielding, or losing courage; to carry.

It is the desire of the ESS team to be a strong support for teachers (as their resource), for our parents (as their encouragement), and for our students (as sharp tools used in changing the way they learn).
