GENERAL

Heritage Christian High School, founded in 1965, is  a private, nondenominational  school which adheres to the doctrinal statement of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).  It is intended that each student will obtain a Christ-centered and Biblically-integrated education with an emphasis on academic excellence.
 

SCHOOL SYSTEM 

HCS has students in grades PrepK-12.  Total enrollment is approximately 1450 with about 500 students in the high school.  The total faculty and support staff numbers 250, and the system is divided into Elementary (PrepK-4), Middle School (5-8), and High School (9-12).  HCS is governed  by a board of Christian parents and professionals and is directed by a superintendent and three principals.  All faculty members have Bachelor’s degrees, and 40-45% have a Master’s degree.
 

ACCREDITATION

Heritage Christian High School is an independent Christian school and is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the North Central Association (NCA).  Generally, 90-95% of HCS graduates attend 4-year colleges and universities.  Students are admitted to HCS on the basis of standardized test scores (60th percentile or more), academic performance (2.3 GPA or above), and Christian commitment.
