Standardized testing continues to be an important tool in assessing academic achievement and potential. Please contact us if you are interested in test preparation resources. At Heritage, the high school testing program includes the following:
- Beginning with the graduating class of 2012, the GQE test will be replaced by ISTEP End-of-Course Assessments (ECA) in Algebra I and English 10. As a result, we began last year to administer the Algebra 1 ECA to students who will graduate in 2012 or after. Beginning spring 2012 the Biology ECA will be administered to all students taking Biology.
- The PSAT is given to all juniors and sophomores each October.
- PLAN is given to all sophomores in the spring. This pre-ACT test focuses attention on both career preparation and improving academic achievement.
- EXPLORE is given to all freshmen in the spring. This test is designed to help 9th graders explore a broad range of options for high school coursework and post–high school choices.
- The ACT and SAT are not offered onsite. However, we are happy to assist students and parents with test registration. To find test dates or register, click on the links below:
