Kaleigh Bennett
1st Grade Teacher
When most first graders were celebrating summer break, Kaleigh Bennett wished the year could last longer. That’s how she knew she was called to be a teacher—when she loved school so much she wanted it to never end.

In following that dream, she studied Elementary Education at Johnson University in Knoxville and has taught at Heritage for the past 2 years. She now teaches the age that she realized her love of learning: First Grade! She also leads the kindergarten and first grade Math Pentathlon club and participates as an elementary mentor teacher for the tutoring program.
After working at a daycare and in public schools, Bennett says she loves that “I not only get to share my excitement for learning with my students, but I also can encourage students in their walk with Christ on a daily basis.”
