Food Services at Heritage Christian School

Heritage is proud to offer nutritious and convenient dining solutions to our parents and students. Our partnership with Flik Independent School Dining (FISD) allows our students access to flavorful meals made from scratch and created from fresh ingredients. With unique menus tailored to growing minds and bodies, parents can rest easy knowing their child is getting the fuel and nutrition they need to successfully conquer each day.

Not only is each meal created fresh daily with wholesome ingredients, but we also offer a wide selection of options to accommodate a variety of dietary needs as well as clear information regarding allergens. We provide our students with nutrition education and ingredient information to empower them to make healthy decisions. Pricing is transparent, and student accounts are simple to use. Parents can quickly and easily preload money for their students, providing them more control over spending.

What is Flik?

Flik is the last name of the couple who began our company in 1971. Building their company through corporate dining services and private catering, Rudi and Julie Flik eventually expanded into the education market, focusing on private and independent schools. In 1995, our parent company, Compass Group, acquired Flik. We operate over 265 private and independent day and boarding schools nationwide, throughout 34 states.

How are menus created?

The on-site chef creates menus with local/regional flavors and ingredients. They receive guidance, training and suggestions for on-trend, innovative ideas from a central Flik culinary, nutrition and marketing team.

Typical lunch offerings include hot entree and sides, action station, grab n’ go sandwiches and salads, and house-made snack
cups. The café is also available to middle and high school students for additional food choices.

Where can I find my student's lunch menu?

Current menus can be found at heritagechristian.flikisdining.com.

Lunch menus can also be found in the myHCS Parent Portal. Follow the steps below to access those menus:

After logging in to your myHCS Parent Portal, click on the blue "Food Services" button.
Click on the blue button labeled "Nutrislice (food menus, nutrition, etc.)."
Select either the Early Childhood / Elementary School option or the Intermediate - High School option to view menus for your student.

What if I have an allergy or special dietary need?

How does payment work?

Parents and students can pre-load funds on the MyKidsSpending (MKS) site via myHCSParentPortal, or via the MKS smart phone app. Heritage uses a declining balance system based on parent feedback. Funds added to MKS will be available for use within five minutes of deposit.

Meal Deals are available for all grade levels. These meal deals allow students to get a complete meal at a
discounted price. Each meal deal includes 1 entrée, 2 sides, and a beverage.
