Heritage Christian Intermediate School

Heritage Christian School is located in Indianapolis, IN.
Our teachers and staff are passionate about the opportunity to help our students navigate these incredibly important transitional years. In fact, our Intermediate School is designed to guide students in academic, emotional, social, and spiritual transition. In Intermediate School, curriculum offerings are expanded, extracurricular opportunities are increased, and academic routine is introduced.
Intermediate School Curriculum Overview
Students in grades 5 and 6 at Heritage study a rigorous curriculum that is centered on a strong biblical worldview. In addition to the traditional classroom setting, our students have opportunities to explore elective courses. This combination of traditional academics with electives challenge our students to develop critical thinking skills while also allowing them to choose coursework based on their individual interests.

6th grade students have the opportunity to participate in an 8-week after school Mock Trial club to serve as an introduction to the Mock Trial program.

At Heritage, the arts are a core part of the curriculum. Intermediate school students participate in a visual arts class and a music class of their choice.

6th grade students have the opportunity to participate in cross country, boys/girls soccer, tennis, volleyball, swimming, softball, track & field, and girls lacrosse.
iPad Integration
Each classroom has a set of iPads for students to use for academic purposes on a daily basis, making technology-based learning a consistent option. Through numerous iPad-driven educational programs, our students learn tactile and tech skills.
