Abby Hamachek

Third Grade Teacher

Meet Abby Hamachek, third grade teacher at Heritage. Throughout her childhood, Abby watched her mom, who was a teacher, and that’s when the Lord placed a career in teaching on her heart. Abby earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Exceptional Needs Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. In the classroom, Abby wants to “show God's light to each of my students and help them develop a love of learning, and most importantly, a love for the Lord.”

Abby has been inspired in her life by her dad. “He inspires me every day to lean into God’s calling on my life and to give my all in everything I do,” Abby said. “And his incredible work ethic and passion to serve others inspires me to pursue the same throughout everyday life.”

In her free time, Abby loves to run, spend time with friends and family, and go to coffee shops.
