2nd Grade Teacher
Ali Engle is Heritage's newest second grade teacher!
Ali first heard about our school through friends from Cedarville University who had graduated from Heritage. Then, when her husband Jonathan got a job at Harvest Bible Chapel (North Indianapolis) as the youth director, Ali knew she needed to apply for a job at Heritage.
Prior to coming to HCS, Ali taught in a public school for four years – three years of kindergarten and one year of second grade. She's passionate about discovering what motivates her students. She also loves building relationships with her students and their families. “Teaching is a big team effort and I am all about that,” she said.
Ali has found that second graders hold an especially soft spot in her heart. “It’s such a fun age because the kiddos are little enough that they still think their teacher is cool, but they are starting to become independent and higher thinkers,” she said.
Ali is very excited to teach at Heritage this year and to be open about her faith. “I can finally, after being in public schools, share Jesus with the kids! I love teaching them about who God is and how much He loves them.”
In addition to building relationships with her second graders, Ali and her husband have the unique opportunity to get to know older Heritage students through serving in their church's youth ministry.
Ali and her husband love spending time together, getting to know families in their church, and watching and playing sports.
