Meet Cheraimee Anderson, one of our Prep-K teachers!

Cheraimee graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She has experience teaching kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 4th grade, and each level has prepared her for Heritage’s unique environment.

Ever since she was a child, Cheraimee has wanted to be a teacher, and one reason is simple: “Children are so joyful, it's hard to have a bad day!” As a teacher, she hopes her students know it’s okay to make mistakes while learning, and this spirit of grace and patience makes her classroom a welcoming place.

One aspect of Heritage that excites Cheraimee is the opportunity to openly encourage students in their faith by incorporating Scripture in the classroom. She said, “It is amazing to see the children and teachers at this school build each other up and really live their lives for Christ."

When she isn’t teaching, Cheraimee enjoys yard work, baking bread, and going to the zoo. She’s also a big Disney fan!
