Elana Muñiz
Visual Arts Teacher
Elana Muñiz is one of our visual arts teachers here at HCS. As a young girl, Elana was inspired to become a teacher while watching her own grade school teachers. She admired them and hoped that someday she could give back by speaking into the lives of children, as her teachers did for her. Her passion for teaching and fine arts led her to obtain a bachelor’s degree in visual arts education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
“God opened this door to become part of Heritage,” said Elana. “I really believe that this is where He wants me to be and what He wants me to do.”
As she works with HCS students, Elana wants to bring visual arts to life for them. She hopes that students feel refreshed and confident that they can make artwork for the Glory of the Lord. “God is our creator and as a reflection of Him, we can create, too!”
One of Elana’s favorite things to do in her free time is to shop at IKEA. In fact, she would consider herself one of IKEA’s number one fans. She also enjoys getting Boba Tea around Castleton. One of Elana’s more unique qualities is that she can move her ears without touching them, and having lived in New York, she is a NY Giants fan.
