Fifth Grade Bible and Math Teacher + JV Football Head Coach

Grant Gerig, 2017 HCS alum, is one of our 5th grade teachers here at HCS! After graduating from Heritage, Grant went on to obtain his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University. He is now back at Heritage as a teacher, and serves as head coach of the Eagles JV football team.

“Having attended Heritage from Kindergarten through 12th grade, I knew that it would be a great place to teach,” Grant said. “And having the opportunity to coach football has been a big plus,” he added.

In the classroom, Grant strives to be a positive male role model for all students – something that he believes the world needs more of today. “I want to be a source of encouragement for students and show them what it means to live their lives with integrity, compassion, and determination,” said Grant. Grant credits his dad as being his biggest role model as he taught him more than just how to be a man, but “to be a man of God and lead others while following Christ.”

In his spare time Grant enjoys coaching football, fishing, camping, and playing guitar.
