Hannah Bostick

High School History & Bible Teacher

Meet high school history and Bible teacher, Hannah Bostick. Ever since she can remember, Hannah has wanted to be a history teacher. She credits the great role models she had in high school and college with supporting her in her desire to teach. Hannah earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Studies from Taylor University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts with a specialization in teaching American history and government from Ashland University.

Hannah recalls that her first time on the Heritage campus was during a varsity basketball game where the Eagles were playing against her former school and Heritage beat her school’s team by one point in double overtime! “It was a heartbreaking loss and now, a year later, I am teaching at Heritage and walking alongside some of the same students that I watched play in that exciting game.”

In the classroom, Hannah works to create a positive learning environment for her students as young adults, as well as in their relationship with Christ. “Teaching history and Bible are two great ways to provide students with real-life examples of people who follow after God every day.” Hannah hopes that when her students leave Heritage they are equipped to enter the adult world with critical thinking skills and a passion to glorify God in all the choices and actions they make in life.

A fun fact about Hannah is that her dad was also a history and Bible teacher and later became a middle school principal. “Although he passed away when I was young, his legacy as a Christian educator, relating to his students daily in the classroom and always challenging his students to draw closer to Christ, is something I hope to model throughout my teaching career.”

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys hanging out at home with her husband and their pug, leading in her church youth group, playing games, binging TV shows, and going to trivia nights with her friends.
