Jennifer Williams - Third Grade Teacher

Jennifer Williams

Third Grade Teacher

Jennifer Williams

Meet Jennifer Williams, third grade teacher at Heritage. Jennifer started at Heritage five years ago as an Admissions Coordinator and transitioned into a teaching position as a full-time substitute in 2022.

“This is my first year teaching third grade and I love it!”

Before becoming a full-time teacher, Jennifer attended and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and juris doctorate in law from the University of Georgia. She worked as an attorney and then stayed at home with her three children while substitute teaching at her children’s elementary school.

Jennifer felt God’s calling on her life to teach children and eventually became a teacher at her daughter’s preschool and later transitioned into the Faith and Values teacher at Geist Christian Weekday Ministries. “I completed a Transition to Teaching program so that I could get back into the classroom, where I truly felt God wants me to be.”

During her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband of nearly 29 years, Jay, and their three children. She likes cheering on her daughter in her multiple sporting events, going to the beach and shell hunting, walking her two dogs, and reading novels. An interesting fact about Jennifer is that she served in local government for several years and the McCordsville Town Council.
