Jessie Foster
2nd Grade Teacher
Help us welcome Jessie Foster to our faculty as Heritage’s newest 2nd grade teacher. Jessie has been teaching 2nd grade for the last 8 years, but this is her first year teaching in a Christian school, which she is loving.
Jessie graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Though she initially pursued business in college, Jessie felt God’s call to pursue teaching instead. She has since taught reading, 1st, and 2nd grade, and has also helped start and pilot a Day School program at a mental health facility.
Jessie loves teaching 2nd graders because they are becoming more independent but they still think she’s funny! She most loves witnessing students finally understand a concept they’ve been struggling with.
Jessie’s daughter is in Kindergarten and absolutely loves it. She and her husband Joe plan to send their youngest daughter to Heritage when she is old enough.
“I feel beyond blessed that God has brought me to Heritage to teach,” she said.
