Intermediate School Math Teacher
Kate Bennett joined the Heritage faculty in 2019, teaching advanced mathematics in the elementary and intermediate schools.
Kate is not new to the Heritage community, though, as she attended Heritage from Kindergarten to 7th grade before her family moved away from Indianapolis. She is now working next door to Mr. Houck, who was one of her favorite teachers as a student.
Kate graduated from the University of South Carolina with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Hospitality and Education. Prior to coming to work at Heritage, she worked in hospitality at various resorts and in camp counselor positions at boys and girls clubs.
Kate loves working with children and she has always enjoyed math, so she is looking forward to combining these two passions in this position at Heritage. She most enjoys working alongside struggling students and then witnessing them have “ah ha” moments.
When she’s not working, Kate loves rollerblading, playing with her puppy, and taking photographs. We are excited to have Kate back at Heritage again!
