Kathy Meyers
PLTW Teacher (Grades 5-12)
Meet Kathy Meyers: one of Heritage's PLTW (Project Lead the Way) teachers. After getting her degree in Elementary Education with a focus on computer education, she first worked at public schools then stepped out of education to focus on her growing family and her volunteer work around Indianapolis.
Meyers started sending her four children to Heritage in 2006 and four years ago, she and her husband Paul began working with the Middle School robotics team. She says, “I am thrilled that my children are able to attend Heritage Christian School where they are loved and encouraged in their Christian walk every day by our fantastic faculty and staff.”
Now that she is a full-time staff member at HCS, Kathy coordinates the Middle School robotics teams, and works with grades 5-12 in various technology subjects. Under her supervision, students learn engineering design, modeling, and robotics automation with Project Lead the Way: a national program designed to equip K-12 students in the areas of science, technology, and engineering.
