Kendrick Krueger - 5th-8th Grade Math Teacher

Kendrick Krueger

Intermediate & Middle School Math Teacher and Instructional Coach

Posted on September 25, 2023

Meet our 5th-8th grade Math Teacher and Instructional Coach, Kendrick Krueger. Mrs. Krueger also serves as the middle school girls’ lacrosse coach. From a very young age, she loved helping others learn – about math and Jesus. “I would create worksheets for my little sister to complete while we played school and when I was in college, I took any opportunity to go on mission trips and share the Good News of Jesus with others!”

Mrs. Krueger attended Taylor University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Middle School Math and played on the club lacrosse team where she recruited and helped anyone interested in learning the sport. Mrs. Krueger joined the staff at Heritage in 2018. Prior to joining HCS, she was a Sylvan Learning Center Director and even dreamt of starting her own tutoring business. “When I became a mom, I was excited to watch my own children learn and grow, and even though I loved the ‘baby stage,’ I always looked forward to their first experiences in school.”

In her classroom, Mrs. Krueger works to inspire her students to love the process of learning math and how they approach math problems, while weaving in truths about God and how awesome He is. “I want my students to know that even if something seems challenging, God blessed them with the gift of learning and a brain that is capable of so much that they can learn anything they put their mind to.”

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Krueger enjoys spending time with her family and traveling around the U.S. and internationally. In the summer of 2020, they bought and renovated an RV. In 2021, they traveled to 16 states, and in 2022, traveled to nine more. They sold the RV in the fall of 2022 so that they could explore more of the U.S. and travel internationally. Next up on the list is a trip to Alaska!

Mrs. Krueger credits her dad for inspiring her throughout her life. She said that she thinks about her dad every day while teaching and interacting with students at Heritage. “When I was growing up, he would pour knowledge and fun facts about math into every question I had about my math homework. I truly enjoyed learning from him. Not only is he brilliant, but he loves Jesus and loves people. I will always strive to be more like my dad.”
