Kirsten Waterway

4th Grade Teacher

Kirsten Waterway is one of our amazing 4th grade teachers here at HCS!

Kirsten brings valuable experience in Christian education to Heritage. Her experience teaching and in motherhood has shown her the importance, value, and responsibility of being a light to children and teaching them to glorify God in all things.

Kirsten’s classroom always puts God first. "We open in prayer every morning with prayer requests, and we refer back to the Bible throughout the day," Kirsten says. "I am willing to stop and pause for any question that presents a learning opportunity about God. I show them how all things relate back to the Bible."

Kirsten loves being with her students all day. Their creative, funny, and inquisitive minds challenge her to think in new and different ways. She supports her students by nurturing their interests and guiding them toward opportunities that ultimately glorify God.

When not in the classroom, Kirsten enjoys being outside and going hiking with her family. She also loves watching a variety of sports!
