Krista Roorbach

Director of Fine Arts & Intermediate School Music Teacher

Krista Roorbach joined Heritage as the Director of Fine Arts as well as the Intermediate School Music Teacher in 2021. She has been involved in Christian education for 18+ years and has multiple degrees.

Krista received her bachelor’s degree in music education from Houghton College in 1998. While in college, she felt God directing her to provide quality music classes to students within Christian schools. She has since taught general music, band, and choral music to elementary, middle, and high school students. In 2007, she received her Master of Arts from Houghton College, and then in 2021 received a second master’s degree in teaching and learning from Bob Jones University.

Krista loves the beauty and creativity of the arts. In describing her passion, she said, “Whether it's a musical performance, fine arts, or photography—these things lift my spirit and cause me to be grateful that God creates such beauty. Because I am made in his image, I can be part of the creative process too!”

Krista is committed to combining her experience, love for music, and passion for God to encourage her students and the teachers in her department. “When teachers are supported well, then the students are set up for success,” Krista said.

Krista has a daughter who is currently a student at Heritage. Outside of work, Krista enjoys sewing, scrapbooking, and baseball. She is a Phillies fan and listens to baseball almost every day of the MLB season.
