Meet Kristina Thompson, our newest Prep-K teacher! Kristina has a passion for serving others and being surrounded by children, so she’s excited about this role.
“I feel so grateful and blessed to be able to help some of Heritage's younger students learn and grow in a Christ-centered environment,” she said. “Early childhood education is so fun, the students don’t even realize how much they’re learning!”
Kristina graduated from Marian University with a BA in Elementary Education. She has previously worked as a preschool director for eight years, so she has no shortage of experience with little ones.
“I’ve been told my superpower is patience,” she said.
Kristina most enjoys hearing young voices pray and getting daily hugs and smiles from her students.
Her sons Drew (4th grade) and Owen (1st grade) have been attending Heritage for two years, and they are all so thankful for the wonderful community.
As a family, the Thompsons love hiking and creek stomping, traveling to Florida, and serving at their church and Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana.
“Each week our pastor says, ‘God loves you and how you live your faith matters',” said Kristina. “We take that to heart by raising our sons to live a faith that serves others and improves their lives in small ways that add up to big differences. Even little kids can do big things!”
