LeAnn Morton
High School Math Teacher
LeAnn Morton has been teaching high school math at Heritage since 2007. She loves seeing her students gain confidence in their math ability as they move through the school year. Her favorite moments are witnessing students have “light bulb moments,” when a topic suddenly clicks with them after they’ve been struggling to understand.
LeAnn has a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education from Grace College and a Master’s from Wayne State University in Detroit. She lived in Michigan for many years before coming to Heritage. There, she worked as a camp counselor, taught a year of outdoor education, and taught math at a small Christian school in Taylor, MI for 14 years.
LeAnn is from a family of teachers: her mom taught elementary school and reading; her dad taught middle school science; and her twin sister, Lisa, teaches high school math alongside her at Heritage!
Outside of teaching LeAnn loves to read, work in the yard, cook, and travel when times allow.
