Educational Support Services Teacher
ESS teacher Melissa Meabon and her children joined the Heritage community this year! Before coming to Heritage, Melissa worked in a variety of teaching positions, including being an instructor at Indiana Wesleyan University, a corporate trainer, a Kindermusik instructor, and a junior high teacher. As an ESS teacher, she loves working with her students in the ways that they learn best.
Melissa graduated from the The University of Toledo with a bachelors in Education with a Science Emphasis, then completed her masters in Educational Technology.
Melissa is active at Northview Church in youth ministry and mission trips, and she loves to travel, swim, hike, and fly fish.
She and her husband adopted their three children, the first two from Guatemala and the third from Texas. “Adoption has forever left an impact on our lives and is truly the greatest decision we have ever made as a couple,” she said.
All three kids started attending Heritage this year for 8th, 6th, and kindergarten, and they’ve already made lasting friendships and have a newfound desire to achieve. The Meabons are grateful to be a part of the Heritage family!
