Rhonda studied Physical Education with a minor in Health Education at Taylor University, where she also played basketball all four years. From there, she played professional basketball in Australia, knowing she eventually wanted to pursue a teaching career, as both her parents worked in education.

Rhonda loves building relationships with her students. While she loves being in the classroom, she most enjoys being in the gym, outside playing games, and working out with her students. In the summers, she detassels corn for her dad’s summer business, which she has done every summer for 35 years. She has also spent several summers working for Michael Andretti’s race team.

Rhonda and her husband Bobby (an ‘88 HCS alum) have three children who attend or attended Heritage: Race (‘16) who got married last summer, Reyna (‘17) who will marry HCS grad Ross Eckle (‘17) this summer, and Kamber, a fifth grader.
