Corporation Test Coordinator (CTC)
Michelle (Shelly) Crowder is a newer face to the Heritage community, though she has years of teaching experience under her belt.
Shelly joined the faculty in 2016, after she and her husband of 29 years, Randy, moved to Indiana from Cleveland, OH. Though she’s new to Heritage, she and her husband prioritized Christian education in their family. All five of their now adult children attended Christian school and college.
Shelly spent her undergrad years in Indiana at Taylor University - and she roomed with a childhood friend of hers, Julie Gerig, our high school office assistant! It was at Taylor that Shelly discovered God was calling her into education.
She has taught grades K-3, worked as an intervention teacher for reading and math, and tutored high school students. She works as the corporation test coordinator (CTC) for Heritage. Shelly finds it a privilege to work alongside other adults who love kids and love the Lord. Her passion for teaching is fueled by her students.
In her free time, Shelly loves running. Her favorite distance is a half-marathon, but she has also completed a marathon. She and Randy have also enjoyed taking up some snorkeling, though she was very hesitant to swimming alongside sharks and stingrays!
