This year marks the 30th anniversary since Mrs. Susan Shrack became an HCS elementary teacher! Mrs. Shrack estimates she’s taught over 870 kids in her career, all deemed “Sailors” while in her class. She says they take a piece of her heart when they leave.
Mrs. Shrack studied Elementary Education and Special Education at Indiana Wesleyan University, and then received her master’s in Elementary Education at Ball State University.
Her first job out of school was teaching Special Education in Marion, IN, then she and her family moved down to Noblesville. She found Heritage in the late 80's and has been here ever since. She loved being able to send her three children, Heather, Paul, and Jennifer, through Heritage as well.
Mrs. Shrack’s favorite parts of teaching at Heritage are bringing God’s Word into every subject and building relationships with her students and their families. She prays for them by name every day before school.
One of her great delights has been having the children of former students in her class. This year, she has three students of alumni.
When she’s not working, Mrs. Shrack loves spending time with her 7 (almost 8) grandkids and being outdoors. Pictured above are Mrs. Shrack with 6 of her grandchildren.
