High School Guidance Counselor
For juniors and seniors thinking about college, Tami Crabtree is the best person to see — in or outside of Heritage Christian. With administration, recruitment, and marketing experience at Butler University, Crabtree is well versed in any and all aspects of the college search, making her the obvious choice for one of Heritage's high school guidance counselors. Now, she coordinates school-wide events, organizes the annual Christian College Fair, and assists with every step of the college search process.
"The college admission travel was pretty intense," Crabtree says, "so I knew I wanted to move to the high school level." She came to Heritage in 2000 in what became an obvious choice: after all, her husband is an alumnus who graduated in the late 70s. "It's fun to have such a long-standing relationship with a great school," she says.
"I love getting to know the students and their parents and helping them through the transitions of high school."
Crabtree's other favorite aspects of being part of the Heritage family all have to do with the students. "At Butler, I really enjoyed helping students through the college process, especially those who needed redirecting," she says. "I love getting to know the students and their parents and helping them through the transitions of high school. I also love hearing about our grads as they move through college and into careers. I do interviews with all my juniors and am excited and humbled to know them."
