Brian picked up 3D printing as a hobby five years ago and realized the technology could be used for cancer research and treatment.

“I began to investigate ways to implement the technology to help make cancer patients’ treatment more accurate and help surgeons plan for complex procedures,” said Brian.

Brian helped launch the IU Health 3D Innovations Lab, which offers digital and 3D technology solutions to clinicians, including 3D printed medical devices and anatomical models as well as virtual and augmented reality applications for education and patient rehab. They are currently working to expand the lab across the state of Indiana.

Outside of work, Brian is either spending time with his wife and 2 daughters or riding his mountain bike.
