Dr. Jennifer Jensen '92, is currently the Assistant Director for Curriculum and Instruction at the Indiana Department of Education. Starting out, Jennifer taught high school math for 22 years in St. Louis and in Warren Township in Indianapolis.
"Math opens doors for students from all backgrounds, and I believe that high quality math instruction is important for all students. I am passionate about making math attainable for all students," she says.
Last spring, Jennifer pursued a position with the State of Indiana – seeing it as an opportunity to impact all students across the state. While she was originally hired as the Assistant Director for Math Instruction, she has since transitioned to her current role, overseeing all academic content.
Jennifer hopes to continue to grow in her role, advocating for teachers and students and promoting access and equity to high quality instruction.
