Ella Ditslear

Congratulations to Ella Ditslear (‘19), who was named an Outstanding Agricultural & Biological Engineering (ABE) student, and was nominated for the College of Agriculture Outstanding Sophomore at Purdue University.

Ella is currently a sophomore and majoring in Cellular and Molecular Engineering with minors in Biotechnology and Computer Science. Alongside her studies, she is aiding in research that will bring further understanding to epilepsy, cardiology, glaucoma, and neural interfaces. Throughout Ella’s time at Purdue, she has been on the Dean’s list and has achieved Semester Honors every semester.

Outside of schoolwork and research, Ella is highly involved in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. She serves as the External Philanthropy Chair and the Sophomore Representative for Chapter Relations. She also volunteers at a YWCA Women’s Shelter and is actively involved at her church, City of God Church. Ella has a clear passion for serving others and plans on bringing her experiences and education to the medical field.

After graduating, Ella hopes to work for a biotechnology and pharmaceutical company and eventually return to school to study to be a pediatric surgeon. We are thankful for Ella’s heart to serve others, and are praying for a wonderful semester!
