Class of 2011
Posted on August 26, 2024
We are thrilled to highlight Ganson Salmon, a 2011 graduate of Heritage Christian School, who continues to make waves in the world of opera. Ganson will be one of the featured performers at the Indianapolis Opera’s Opera in the Park on September 7th at Garfield Park.
Ganson, who grew up in the Lawrence area, returned home during the COVID-19 pandemic after theaters closed in New York City. Now residing in Whitestown, he is excited to be back on the Opera in the Park stage for the first time since 2021. "Being an Indy-bred tenor, it feels only right that I get the honor of playing a part in this 50th anniversary season," Ganson said in an interview with Current Magazine. "I think Opera in the Park is one of the best events in the gamut of opera events because of how fun and casual it is."
After graduating from Heritage, Ganson earned his Master's in Music from Mannes School of Music in New York City. During his time there, he performed in several major productions, showcasing his exceptional talent. His skills have also taken him to Italy, where he was a New York Finalist in the 2016 International Tosti Competition and performed in concerts with Classic Lyric Arts in Novafeltria.
We are incredibly proud of Ganson and excited to see him continue to share his talent with the world. Be sure to catch him at Opera in the Park this September!
