Elementary Receptionist

Elementary Receptionist, Kelly Goossen, found her love of literature—and her faith in Christ—while in college. After receiving her degree in English Literature, she planned on continuing in academia and becoming a college professor, but God had other plans.

Kelly’s love of children lead her to a previous job where she worked in the children’s ministry at her church. After taking time off to be home with her growing family, Goossen translated her love of children to a job at Heritage. She loves that now she can be off work when her children are on school breaks. 

Goossen says that what she loves most about Heritage is the community formed by the teachers. Not only have they been good role models for her children but they're also like a second family. “I don’t have family members that live locally,” she says, “so the people I work with are my friends but also have become my family.”
