Kirsten Waterway

4th Grade Teacher

Please welcome Kirsten Waterway, our new 4th grade teacher!

Kirsten comes to Heritage with five years of experience in Christian education. Her experience teaching and in motherhood has shown her the importance, value, and responsibility of being a light to children and teaching them to glorify God in all things.

Kirsten’s classroom will always put God first. "We open in prayer every morning with prayer requests, and we refer back to the Bible throughout the day," Kirsten said. "I am willing to stop and pause for a question that would be a learning opportunity about God. I show them how all things relate back to the Bible."

Kirsten loves being with her students all day. Their creative, funny, and inquisitive minds challenge her to think in new and different ways. Kirsten will support her students in learning what interests them and helping them pursue opportunities in a way that will ultimately glorify God.

When not in the classroom, Kirsten enjoys being outside and going hiking with her family. She also loves watching a variety of sports!
