Zachary Warrick Discipleship Endowment

Lorem Ipsum Dolor

In spring 2023, the Zachary Warrick Discipleship Endowment was established to enhance Heritage Christian School’s discipleship efforts and spiritual distinctiveness. Named in honor of a beloved student whose life left an indelible mark on our community, this endowment funds additional discipleship staffing and provides students with opportunities to attend life-changing conferences and events.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the recent impact made possible by this endowment:

Summit Conference

  • What: Eight HCS students attended this 12-day immersive discipleship and worldview program.
  • Impact: The Endowment significantly reduced costs for students, covering $1,386 per participant and transportation. This program equipped students with in-depth worldview training and leadership skills.

“My time at the Summit Conference was some of the most fulfilling and defining moments of my life. I discovered my calling, was personally mentored by the speakers, met wonderful people, and felt a sense of true belonging for the first time. I am so thankful to everyone who made this trip possible and I am forever changed.” – HCS Student

  • What: More than 20 HCS juniors and seniors, along with five chaperones, attended this conference focused on worship, gospel-centered teaching, and global missions.
  • Impact: The Endowment covered tickets, meals, transportation, and chaperone lodging.

“This was a great opportunity for students to grow in their relationship with each other and with God. They were challenged to think about the gospel’s impact on their lives and how they can ‘make their life count’ and ‘make His name known.’” – Ken Shutt, HCS Discipleship Director

Interterm Week Apologetics Conference

  • What: Designed for 9th and 10th graders, this conference featured Summit Ministries speakers Tripp and Megan Almon, who addressed topics like moral relativism, biblical authority, and engaging with atheist worldviews.

Maven Worldview Conference

  • What: More than 30 HCS students, parents, and staff attended this conference, which encouraged participants to live out their faith courageously. Topics included navigating a negative world, critiquing Critical Theory, and embracing a biblical worldview.
  • Impact: The Endowment covered tickets and transportation for 12 students. Students who went with parents were given free tickets and those who came without received a discount.
