Robotics
The Heritage Robotics program currently spans 5th - 12th grade with 100+ students involved. In addition to learning valuable engineering and programming skills, these robotics students focus on innovation, collaboration, project management, and critical thinking skills.

Building More than Robots
Over the past several years, our Robotics program has earned a well-respected place in the city and state for the success of our teams.
Although our teams have been very successful in competitions, Heritage Christian Robotics strives to emphasize the "win" of growth in students, not just the "win" of trophies. That dedication to the students' growth has helped them achieve numerous championships.
A Legacy of Competitive Excellence
Heritage Robotics teams consistently perform among the best in Indiana and beyond. Our students compete — and win — at state, national, and world championship levels, earning awards for design, programming, innovation, teamwork, and robot skills year after year.

The MIC (Media & Innovation Center)
Our hub for robotics, engineering, and computer science.
Equipped with modern tools, large workspace capacity, and dedicated storage for parts and builds, The MIC fuels hands-on innovation daily. It’s where students design, code, experiment, and prepare for competition.
About VEX Robotics
VEX Robotics is the largest and fastest growing school robotics program globally. Their program involves more than 12,000 teams from over 33 countries playing in over 1,000 tournaments worldwide.

Elementary & Middle School Teams
Our elementary and middle school robotics teams participate in the VEX IQ Robotics platform.

High School Teams
Our high school teams (and currently one middle school team) participate in the VEX V5 Robotics platform.
Year-Round Competitions
Each year in April, an exciting engineering challenge is presented in the form of a game. (Watch the videos below for this year's challenges).
Each team must decide how to design and program their robot to successfully score the most points in these games throughout year-round competitions.
Our students agree that they love the energy and excitement at these competitions and strive each year to compete with excellence in hopes of qualifying for state, national, and even world championships!
These VEX Robotics competitions are a great way to encourage students to become future innovators with 95% of participants reporting an increased interest in STEM subject areas and pursuing STEM-related careers.
