Fine Arts
At Heritage, the arts are a core part of the curriculum. We feel it’s impossible to nurture and develop the whole child without the creative nature of the arts.
Whether through music ensembles, visual arts, theatre, photography, or other opportunities, our students are encouraged to explore various artistic disciplines that engage and grow their creative talents and gifts.
Every student (from preschool through grade 12) participates in the arts because research shows that involvement in the arts strengthens academic success and increases the likelihood of graduating with honors.

Rhythm & Hues Fine Arts Festival
Each spring, our campus comes alive as students and faculty present music, visual art, and performance pieces that reflect imagination, skill, and creativity. Rhythm & Hues is a weekend that brings families, friends, alumni, and the community together to celebrate the gifts God has given our students.
Festival highlights include:
- Pops Concert featuring high school band, jazz band and orchestra
- Broadway Night, a lively fundraising performance with choir ensembles and solos
- AP Art Show & K–12 Art Gallery exhibitions across campus
- Student solos, duets and ISSMA ensemble performances
- Hands-on Make & Take art projects for all ages
- Instrument Petting Zoo introducing band and orchestra instruments
The festival showcases growth in the arts from elementary through high school, giving younger students a vision for what’s ahead and older students a chance to shine.

Our Mission
Glorify God. Disciple Students. Pursue Excellence.
Heritage Christian Fine Arts are grounded in the school’s mission to glorify God through the discipleship of students and the pursuit of excellence in the arts, with the Bible as the foundation and Jesus Christ as our focus. This mission is at the core of what drives our programs, teachers and students to pursue the arts in a way that is distinctive and brings honor to Jesus Christ.

How to Support the Arts at HCS
The flourishing arts community at Heritage Christian School is strengthened by faithful partners who give their time, resources and encouragement. Whether you volunteer with our Fine Arts Volunteers (FAVs), become a Fine Arts Patron, sponsor a concert or production, or make a direct financial gift, your support helps students grow as artists who use their God-given talents with excellence.
