At Heritage Christian School, our traditions create a sense of belonging that spans generations. These cherished moments bring students, families, faculty, and alumni together, strengthening our community and celebrating God’s work in the lives of our students. From joyful gatherings to meaningful milestones, these traditions help make the Heritage experience unforgettable.

Community & Celebration
Back-to-School Bash
Before the school year begins, the Heritage community gathers on the football field for one of our favorite traditions. Families enjoy food trucks, yard games, giveaways, live music, and plenty of time to reconnect after summer break.
The Back-to-School Bash brings our community together and kicks off the year with school spirit, connection, and celebration.
PTF Fun Run
Each spring, students in prep-k through 8th grade take to the stadium field for the annual PTF Fun Run. With music, games, and plenty of school spirit, the event makes fundraising fun while bringing students together outdoors. Students in grades 5–8 also participate in a color powder run.
Homecoming Week & Lip Sync
Homecoming Week is one of Heritage’s most anticipated fall traditions, bringing school spirit, friendly competition, and plenty of fun to campus. Students take part in themed dress-up days, hallway decorating, chalk murals, Lip Sync performances, a powderpuff game, and more than 20 class competitions throughout the week.
The celebration culminates with the Homecoming Tailgate and football game, when students, families, faculty, staff, and alumni gather for food trucks, live music, games, the homecoming court, and other activities.

Milestones & Sendoffs
Senior Parade
Each spring, the entire Heritage community gathers to celebrate the graduating class during the Senior Parade. Seniors decorate their cars, dress in costumes, and make their way around campus as students, faculty, staff, and families cheer them on.
It’s a fun and memorable send-off that gives seniors one more chance to celebrate together before graduation.
Senior Walk
On their last official day of school, Heritage seniors put on their caps and gowns and walk through campus as students, faculty, staff, and families cheer them on.
The Senior Walk is both a celebration and a meaningful milestone, giving seniors a chance to reflect on their years at Heritage while inspiring younger students to look ahead to the day they’ll make the same walk.

Faith & Service
Christmas Chapel
Each year, students in grades 1–12 come together for one of Heritage’s most cherished traditions, a joyful Christmas chapel celebrating the Advent season. The gathering concludes with each class joining in the “12 Days of Christmas,” while seniors add humor with skits inspired by favorite school memories.
It’s a meaningful celebration of worship, community, and Christmas joy.
Operation Christmas Child
Each year, the Heritage community partners with Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child, packing more than 1,000 gift-filled shoeboxes for children around the world.
The project gives students and families a meaningful way to serve others while helping share the hope of the gospel.
