- Head of School
The editors of Messenger recently sat down with Head of School, Dr. Brian Dougherty, to gain his deeper perspective on three key areas of focus for our school: Discipleship, Prayer and Strategy. Here we share his thoughts on these important topics.
- Athletics
Heritage Christian School has a reputation for producing well-rounded student athletes. Our athletics program helps shape students into young adults with good sportsmanship and Christ-like attitudes, character and leadership.
- Athletics
Sherman Williams is the second leading scorer in Indiana State University (ISU) basketball history - second only to Larry Bird. On February 3, 2024, Sherm's Indiana State basketball jersey was hoisted to the rafters of Hu Iman Center. The retirement ceremony took place when the Indiana State Sycamores hosted Drake University.
- Fine Arts
At Heritage, the arts are a core part of the curriculum. We feel it’s impossible to nurture and develop the whole child without the creative nature of the arts. From music ensembles, visual arts like painting and sculpting, to theater, photography, and many others, there are a wide variety of opportunities for students to engage and grow their creative talents and gifts. All students are involved in the arts from preschool to grade twelve because we know students involved in the arts are more likely to graduate with honors.
- Alumni
Heritage Christian School has graduated many talented, dedicated and successful professionals who have made significant contributions in their fields of study and within their communities. What started as three alumni in 1967 has grown today to more than 4,000 total alumni around the world.
- Student Life
This school year's Robotics students had an incredible season. Congratulations to our students who competed in the VRC Championship on February 23 - 24, 2024. Our teams brought back a few first-ever VRC Championship banners and trophies and the H, X, B, & M teams qualified for the World Championship competition in Dallas, TX.
