High School Summer Reading

All students entering 9-12th grades are required to read specific books during the summer relevant to their core subjects. Students are responsible for securing their own copies of the books.

Summer reading assignments are to be completed by the the first day of school, Wednesday, August 15. Teachers may administer a content-based assessment to ensure that the books were read, but any other assignments that will be applied to the reading will be assigned by teachers after students return to school, and will be incorporated into the normal schedule of work during that first week.

Introduction to Algebra 2 (Academic Summer Camp)

July 16-20 • For students entering 9th - 12th Grades • $80
Algebra 2 is a high school class that can be challenging for many students. The “Introduction to Algebra 2” class is intended to provide a brief introduction to some of the new concepts that students will learn during the regular school year. It should also help students refresh their mathematical skills midway through the summer. Mr. Madsen will be teaching this class, and will strive to make it interactive and engaging. We will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for one week, from July 16 through July 20. The cost is $80 for the week. The camp is open to any HCS and Non-HCS students. This class will not earn any high school credit. Questions? Contact Mr. Madsen at rick.madsen@heritagechristian.net.
