Building on preschool foundations, Prep-K encourages students to grow in confidence, independence, and readiness for kindergarten. Our Christ-centered, active academics approach supports spiritual growth while strengthening early academic skills.

Heritage Prep-K in Indianapolis serves children who turn 4 years old by June 1 and is part of our Early Childhood Program, which also includes Preschool and Kindergarten.

Prep-K Program Options

Families may choose the schedule that best fits their needs.

3-Day Program (Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)

  • Half Day | 8 AM – 12 PM
  • Full Day | 8 AM – 2:10 PM

5-Day Program

  • Half Day | 8 AM – 12 PM
  • Full Day | 8 AM – 2:10 PM

Classes are intentionally structured to provide consistency, meaningful routines, and age-appropriate learning experiences.

A Day at Heritage Prep-K

Prep-K students follow consistent routines that balance structured learning, movement, and exploration.

A typical day includes:

  • Whole-group instruction
  • Centers
  • Bible lessons
  • Specials
  • Lunch
  • Outdoor play
  • Enrichment activities

Full-day students participate in rest time and snack before dismissal at 2:10 PM.

Prep-K Curriculum

Our Prep-K curriculum is designed to strengthen foundational skills while fostering confidence, independence, and curiosity. Through intentional instruction, hands-on learning, and guided exploration, students continue building the academic, social, and spiritual readiness needed for kindergarten.
