2026-27 Spiritual Theme: Water of Life

2025-26 Spiritual Theme: Water of Life

Posted on July 16, 2026

The annual spiritual theme is a springboard for classroom conversation, our athletics teams, and clubs. From our preschool students to high school seniors, the theme unites our students around a common idea that’s grounded in spiritual truth.

He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children."

- Revelation 21:6-7 -

For the 2026-2027 school year, Heritage Christian School will focus on the abundance, restoration, and sovereignty of Jesus Christ.

In a culture marked by spiritual dryness, we are reminded that Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and the only Source who can truly satisfy the soul. While the world offers many “broken cisterns” and counterfeit sources of fulfillment, Christ alone provides the Water of Life.

Throughout the year, students, faculty, staff, and families will be reminded of the only true Source of lasting peace and purpose. This year is a call to stop striving for fulfillment in achievements, social status, or worldly things, and to look to Jesus alone as the Water of Life who satisfies the thirsty soul

What We Will Explore

Jesus is the beginning and the end of our satisfaction.
Students will be challenged to identify "counterfeit springs" and redirect their focus towards the only One who can truly fill the heart with lasting joy.

Satisfaction in Christ is a gift, not a reward to be earned.
Our worth is found in being fully known and loved by Jesus, freeing us from the exhausting cycle of trying to satisfy our own souls through performance or achievement.

Christ sustains us in every circumstance.
We can rely on the Jesus—the Water of Life—as a "spring" within the believer, which brings true and lasting peace that is not dependent on external circumstances. Through the Holy Spirit, the Water of Life becomes a spring within every believer, providing a constant and satisfying presence that sustains us through every trial and transition.

We are called to be rivers of living water.
As Jesus transforms and satisfies our hearts, we are equipped to become “rivers of living water” who share the hope of the gospel with the world, both now and in the future.
