Heritage Christian School Receives National Recognition for Music Education Program

Indianapolis, IN – April 23, 2026 – Heritage Christian School has been recognized as one of the 2026 Best Communities for Music Education by The NAMM Foundation, honoring the school’s outstanding commitment to providing students with access to high-quality music education.

Now in its 27th year, the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) program celebrates schools across the United States that demonstrate exceptional dedication to music education as an essential part of a well-rounded education. In 2026, more than 1,000 schools and districts nationwide received this distinction.

Recipients of the BCME award are selected through a comprehensive evaluation process that reviews factors such as funding, instructional time, participation, facilities, and community support. All responses are verified and reviewed by WolfBrown, an independent research firm specializing in education and the arts.

At Heritage Christian School, music is woven into the broader mission of discipling students and pursuing excellence in all areas of learning. Students have opportunities to participate in music programs that foster both skill development and meaningful expression, often as an extension of worship and community.
