Amy Gallion - 1st Grade Teacher

Amy Gallion

1st Grade Teacher

Amy Gallion

Amy Gallion is a passionate first grade teacher at Heritage Christian School. Teaching has always been a dream for Amy, and she has been fulfilling that calling for the past twelve years. Throughout her career, she has taught in public schools, private schools, and at a small Christian school in Lima, Peru, serving missionary children. Amy is grateful that God led her and her family to Heritage, where she feels a deep sense of belonging.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. In her classroom, she strives to create an environment where students feel loved, are encouraged, and develop a genuine love of learning, all while growing in their relationship with Christ. She emphasizes, "Learning about Jesus is the most important thing I can teach my students."

In addition to her passion for teaching, Amy values the opportunity to share her faith in her work. Being able to incorporate Christ into every aspect of the classroom is something she treasures. She explains, “One thing I love about working at Heritage is having the opportunity to weave Jesus into everything I do.”

Amy also has a personal connection to Heritage beyond her role as a teacher—her three children are students here. Being part of the same school community as her kids brings her great joy and deepens her bond with the school.

Her commitment to faith and service is rooted in her upbringing. Amy's parents are missionaries in Ecuador, and their passion for serving others, coupled with their deep love for the Lord, continues to inspire her both in life and in the classroom.
