Audra Ohm
Elementary Art Teacher

Meet Audra Ohm, Heritage’s elementary art teacher. With her love for creativity and a heart for students, Mrs. Ohm brings an inspiring and joyful presence to the art classroom.
Mrs. Ohm’s journey to teaching at Heritage was shaped by both family and faith. After studying Elementary Education with an art emphasis at Trinity International University, she married and spent ten years as a stay-at-home mom. Feeling called back into education, she began her time at Heritage as a preschool teacher’s assistant. “After a couple of years, I began feeling another nudge for something more. That’s when the elementary art teacher position opened up, and I reached out with trembling hands. I was offered the job and dove headfirst into the best job ever!” she shares.
In her classroom, Mrs. Ohm creates a warm and welcoming environment where students can freely express their creativity. “I strive to create a loving and happy space for the students. I want them to feel comfortable creating without fear of making mistakes or messes,” she explains. Her ultimate goal is for each student to leave her classroom knowing, “they have been created for a purpose and are unique and capable of being creative in their own way.”
Faith is central to Mrs. Ohm’s teaching. Each class begins with prayer, and she incorporates “exit cards,” which give students the opportunity to share prayer requests, wishes, or concerns with her personally. “I pray that the students are able to see Christ through my actions and words,” she says.
Outside the classroom, Mrs. Ohm enjoys life with her four children and her Bernese Mountain Dog. As a family, they love going to the movies, spending time outdoors, and traveling to visit loved ones. A fun fact about Mrs. Ohm? She’s also a writer! “I love writing short stories and poems that allow the reader to be transported into another time and place,” she says.
Mrs. Ohm’s creativity, faith, and love for her students make her an invaluable part of the Heritage Christian School family.
