Diann Boone
Explorers Program Teacher
Explorers is a "pull out" program offered through our Educational Support Services department that helps meet the needs of high ability students in grades 2-6 through differentiated instruction and advanced content.

Diann Boone is the leader of our Explorers program at HCS. Diann has been a cherished part of the Heritage family for over thirteen years as a sixth grade teacher. With nearly three decades of teaching experience and a deep calling to educate, Diann loves to inspire and challenge our high ability learners in meaningful ways.
“I feel called to teach. Building into the lives of these precious children is a privilege that I take very seriously,” Diann shares. Her classroom is a place where academic growth and spiritual development go hand in hand. “Weaving in spiritual truths begins with me. I know that my own personal walk with the Lord needs to be consistent and vibrant for it to overflow into the subject matter and the classroom.”
Diann loves the dynamic energy of high ability students. “When a group of students are surrounded by their intellectual peers, they feed off of each other in a positive way like iron sharpening iron.” She’s excited to provide hands-on, project-based learning, building on units like bridges, rollercoasters, and architecture to create an engaging experience.
Outside of school, Diann cherishes family time with her husband Brian, their three daughters (Heritage grads!), sons-in-law, and two grandchildren. Together, they enjoy football, music, great food, and working towards their goal to visit all 50 states!
We are so thankful for all the wonderful ways Diann encourages growth, curiosity, and faith in our Explorers students!
