Emily Smith

1st Grade Teacher

Emily Smith is a valued member of our 1st-grade team at Heritage Christian School. Growing up, she developed a love for teaching by helping in her mom’s classroom, at clubs, and in camps.

After earning her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Grace College, Emily knew she wanted to work at a private Christian school. Heritage came highly recommended by friends and family, and she was drawn to the Christ-centered focus and close-knit community. Emily quickly felt at home among the faculty and staff.

In her classroom, Emily is dedicated to fostering conversations about Jesus. She openly shares how God is working in her life and encourages her students to do the same. Her goal is to guide them toward a relationship with Christ through her actions and words, praying they will come to know Him personally.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys connecting with friends, family, and her church community. She also loves reading, drawing, and cooking. Be sure to ask Emily about her mom, who is a children’s book author!"
