Greg Habegger
Assistant Athletic Director

After 34 years at Hamilton Southeastern Schools (19 of those in athletic administration) Greg Habegger thought his time in education had come to a close. But God had other plans.
“I retired in the summer of 2024 and worked part time in sales,” Greg shared, “but I realized I missed working at a school and with kids and coaches. The Lord graciously opened the door to this opportunity and I am beyond grateful to be here.”
Greg holds a B.S. in Social Sciences/Education from Taylor University and a Master’s in Secondary Education from Ball State University. He has long believed in the power of sports to shape young people. “I believe in the value of the athletic experience in a young person's life and realized early in my career that I wanted to teach and coach,” he said.
Now at Heritage, Greg is passionate about leading and supporting coaches and student-athletes in alignment with the school’s mission. “As Assistant Athletic Director at HCS, I strive to lead and support our coaches and student-athletes in a way that enables them to fulfill the Heritage mission of glorifying God, discipling kids, and pursuing excellence.”
Although he had no formal connection to Heritage before joining the staff, Greg has lived in Fishers for 35 years and has long admired the school community. “I have always been very impressed with everyone that has a Heritage connection,” he said.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys cheering for the Cubs, Pacers, Colts, and Purdue basketball. He and his wife, Cathy, have been married for nearly 30 years and have three sons.
