Paul Houck - IS/MS Male Discipleship Coordinator

Paul Houck

Intermediate & Middle School Male Discipleship Coordinator

Paul Houck serves as the Intermediate and Middle School male discipleship coordinator. After earning his degree in elementary education from Taylor University, he spent 40 years in the classroom, including seven years teaching 7th grade Bible, which he describes as “some of my best years at Heritage.”

His path into discipleship was not rushed. “This is a role that I have prayed about for over 10 years,” he shared. When the opportunity came three years ago, he knew God was leading him in a new direction.

Now, his days look different, but the mission is the same. “In my role at HCS, I strive to help young men grow spiritually in a structured, intentional way. I want these young men to grow in their faith, deepen their understanding, and live it out in everyday life.” Much of that happens in simple, meaningful moments. “I enjoy meeting with the boys one on one. We often walk the halls or sit outside and just talk about life and choices being made.”

One of the most rewarding parts of his time at Heritage has been seeing former students return as colleagues. Today, nearly ten of his former students are now serving on staff.

Outside of school, Paul enjoys time with his five grandchildren, cheering them on at their sporting events, working in the yard, and taking walks with his dog, Bella.
