Kim Landrum - High School Guidance Counselor

Kim Landrum

High School Guidance Counselor

Kim Landrum

Meet Kim Landrum, one of our High School Guidance Counselors at Heritage Christian School. With over 25 years of experience in education, Kim’s journey to this role has been one of faith, purpose, and prayer. She has taught Voice, Music Education, and related subjects at the university level. When her husband, James, retired from the military, their family chose Indianapolis as their home—thanks in part to Heritage Christian School.

“I had been praying about finding a job where I could serve people in a Christian environment. When the Guidance position became a possibility, I knew my prayer had been answered. I'm so grateful to use my previous college teaching experience and heart for students to serve the Heritage community.”

Kim holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Belmont University and both a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice from the University of Kentucky. Her expertise in voice performance, voice science and pedagogy, and vocal music education is complemented by her heart for guiding students and families.

At Heritage, Kim incorporates her faith into her daily work. “It is a true privilege to get to know the students and families at Heritage. I pray for them daily and ask the Lord to guide me in each interaction.”

Outside of school, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, James, and their four children. A lover of reading and summer days by the lake, Kim is embracing the opportunity to plant roots in a community after moving 10 times during her husband’s 20 years in the military—a journey that included living in Europe, Hawaii, and across the United States.

We’re so blessed to have Kim as part of the Heritage Christian family, bringing her wisdom, compassion, and faith into everything she does.
