Kourtney Dolvin
High School Math & History Teacher

Kourtney Dolvin teaches Algebra I and Geography/History of the World in our high school. For Kourtney, education has always been more than just a profession—it’s been a calling. “Ever since I was a little girl, I had the desire to be a teacher,” she shares.
Kourtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education from Pensacola Christian College and a Master of Education from Grace College. With over two decades of experience, she remains passionate about both academic excellence and spiritual growth in her students.
“In my classroom, my foremost goal is for my students to see Christ in me as I strive to live out Micah 6:8 and encourage them to do the same,” Kourtney explains. She believes that learning is not just about gaining knowledge but about seeing God’s hand in every subject.
Her history students are reminded that “Every person I see is a person for whom Christ died,” reinforcing the command of Mark 16:15 to share the gospel with the world. In math, she highlights God’s perfect design and unchanging nature (Malachi 3:6), helping students see the order and logic in His creation.
The opportunity to integrate faith with learning is Kourtney’s favorite part of working at Heritage. “I get to play a small role in preparing our next generation of church leaders, citizens, and mentors,” she says. One of her most rewarding experiences has been seeing students come to Christ as they study the 7 C’s of History and witnessing others grow in their faith.
“When a student opens class in prayer and thanks God for a school where they can grow closer to Him, it’s both a weighty responsibility and an enormous blessing.”
